He studied visual design and animation in Korea (~2009) and the U.K. (~2013). Although he explored various visual mediums, he naturally developed a passion for drawing.
Since 2016, his primary medium has been drawing on digital devices (various iPads and phablets) for greater accessibility. His work encompasses a range of subjects and has evolved throughout his life.
Having lived in the same neighborhood for 20 years, excluding his time studying abroad in London, he initially found his local environment visually unremarkable.
Consequently, starting in 2016, he became intrigued by scenes from TV shows and films, viewing them as separate visual subjects apart from their original narratives. He experimented with reconstructing these scenes, focusing on how to depict them leaving digital native marks rather than mimicking other traditional mediums.
Starting in 2023, his interest shifted back to drawing his surroundings. He now focuses on capturing personal scenes that he feels are unique to his own experience. He believes that, much like old personal photographs, his drawings (of people and places) represent moments that can never be revisited, making each scene inherently unique.
He also creates independent animations to share fragments of his daydreams.
